Hindsite — augmented reality tours of heritage sites
The first application I am building inside Vitruvian AI. A self-guided heritage tour that runs in a visitor's own phone at the site itself, putting back into the view what is no longer there to see. The narration finds you by where you stand, and the camera shows the room as it was a century ago.
Everything a visitor touches has to work with no signal at all, which is most of the engineering. The flagship tour walks Kolmanskop, the diamond town the Namib is taking back, and launches late 2026; Lüderitz and Swakopmund follow in 2027.
